It’s a 30-minute class hosted by Certified Plant-Based Sports Nutritionist & Certified Core Fitness Trainer Saudia Green aka Beyond Vegans™. This workshop will target and strengthens the abdominal and the core area.
(stomach, obliques(sides) and the lower back)
Abs are often one of the top areas of the body; many people work hard to strengthen and improve, which isn’t a bad thing. Aside from a beautiful physique, strong abs are essential for your health. Your abs are part of your core that supports your entire body. When you strengthen your abs, you’re naturally helping to strengthen your core. This can prevent back pain, poor posture, and even strains and injuries during exercise. But sit-ups alone aren’t enough to take care of your abs; you need a mix of cardio to maintain a healthy weight, should practices exercises that strengthen your back (such as yoga, weight training, and good posture), and you should also eat a clean diet.
Sidenote: The main difference between your core and your abs (or rectus abdominal muscles), is that the core covers all the muscles in the abdominal area that are responsible for functional strength and stabilizing. … The outer core is made up of the superficial muscles that you can see.
The short, but effective high-intensity Ab Attack Workshop is the key to maximum abdominal development; it’s time to give those sit-up routines a rest.
Self – Love Remember
Do not wait to become this ‘perfect’ version of yourself before you start loving yourself and truly enjoying your life. You’re allowed to be happy while you continue to evolve and improve. If you allow your happiness to depend on that picture you have in your head of that ‘perfect’ you, you’ll never allow yourself to be happy.
Beyond Vegans™️ Tips
Stay hydrated with electrolytes!
It’s heating up outside, and you’re breaking a sweat, but are you giving your body what it needs to perform at its best? One of the biggest things to stay mindful of in the summer months is staying hydrated. We don’t just mean drinking your water (which you should be doing). We’re talking electrolytes. Electrolytes are minerals in the body responsible for regulating nerve and muscle function—think sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. They play a crucial role in maintaining the body’s fluid levels. So when you sweat, your body loses not only water but electrolytes too. The balance between water and electrolytes is crucial to keep your body in tip-top shape. If you don’t drink enough water, you may experience lightheadedness or nausea due to dehydration. However, if you drink too much water without replenishing your electrolytes, you risk the chance of dealing with brain fog, nausea and muscle cramps, which are common symptoms of hyponatremia (low sodium blood levels). So before you lace up your sneakers for your next workout in the heat, make sure you have your bottle of water to rehydrate during and after your sweat session and an electrolyte-rich drink or drink mix on hand to replenish your body and keep your system in check! Coconut water and Watermelon water is an excellent source of electrolytes. I love drinking coconut water to replenish my electrolyte levels. You can also refuel with a banana or some freshly squeezed orange juice.
